The Gage Building was actually three structures designed by the famous Chicago architectural firm of Holabird and Roche, and showcases an ornamental façade by world-renowned architect Louis Sullivan. The three buildings were separated into two sometime in the early 1900s, and 18-28 South Michigan Avenue was completely renovated and converted to office condominiums in 2007.
